Reverse Osmosis - Water Purification Plant |
RO - Reverse osmosis, better known as hyper-filtration is a natural bio chemical process that enables the abstraction of particles as tiny as ions. RO uses a semi permeable membrane that affects the movement or diffusion of water molecules toward the solution that has high TDS, and it is induced by osmotic pressure. These membranes are effective in removing constituents and are efficient in removing TDS in any feed water up to 40,000-ppm (i.E. Sea water.). The membrane uses a channel known as cross flow that enables it to perpetually clean itself. RO is accomplished by forcing water molecules under pressure through a semi-permeable membrane out of solution that has high TDS. RO membrane can be distinguished from other membranes based on pore size, which is around 0.0005 microns. The pore size of RO membrane is small, that it functions primarily by diffusion instead of filtration or adsorption. Reverse osmoses is the best filtration process so far as it is capable of refusing bacteria, salts, proteins, particles, dyes as well as other harmful constituents. The dissolved ions like salts that are charged have stronger chances of getting rejected than those organic that are not charged. This process allows absolutely pure and safe drinking water.
