A " packer " is an inflatable rubber element that inflates to seal. These packing elements supplied by the company are available for all drilling, completion and workover requirements, as well as for pipeline testing and repair plus they provide a strong and effective seal. Different types of packer elements are used for different versatile purposes. The company`s packer seal element includes Long Packer Seals, Packers with Continuous Reinforcing, Integral Casing Packers and many more. Some of them are used to control wellbore migration of gas and fluid, to prevent unwanted water intrusion and to reduce hydrostatic pressure during stage cementing. These rubber ribs form a seal between the pipe and the well casing. Packer seals are the perfect aid to the task of joining borehole casings of differing diameters. These elements are downhole elastromeric seals used to affect a seal between the casing and tubing. Packer elements are used on liner and production packers. Liner packers are relatively thin cross-section and must span larger gaps. Production Packers are larger cross-section and span smaller gaps. This application can be permanent or retrievable, material selection is influenced by these applications. Retrievable packer assemblies generally consist of multiple elements of different module or hardness. Permanent Packer assemblies are not intended to be removed and often consist of one elastomeric element and anti-extrusion rings. Materials for these rings include: machined or formed steel and copper, knitted wire mesh and filled PTFE. Elastomeric compounds for packer elements must be made from high molecular weight polymers and cured to a high cross-link density. The seal element for their use in downhole packer applications may also be employed on a variety of packers.
